Overview

This is a non-contact millimeter-wave radar module that combines vital signs monitoring (heart rate/respiratory rate) and sleep quality assessmeny. With a highly intergrated 18*6mm footprint, it eliminates the need for wearables and privacy concerns, providing continuous and precise capture of vital micro-movements. it serves as an ideal sensor component for smart home and smart elderly-care equipment.

FAQs

How does the accuracy of heart rate and respiratory rate detection compare with traditional contact devices?

A crucial prerequisite for using mmWave radar to detect human heart rate and respiratory rate is that the target must remain stationary. Under stationary conditions, the detection error for the heart and respirotory rates is within ±5 bpm(beat per minute).

What are the placement requirements for the mmWave radar?

To ensure the accuracy of heart rate and respiratory detection, the placement of the radar must meet three core requirements. First is alignment: the antenna surface should directly face the human chest and abdomen as much as possible to capture micro-movements. Second is stability: the radar itself must be rigidly mounted without any vibration or wobbling. Third is environment: metal blockage in front of the module is strictly prohibited, and dynamic interference sources such as rotating fans or swaying curtains must be avoided within the field of view (FOV).
